What to Bring
Being prepared ensures a smooth, efficient appointment. Here's everything you need to know before your signing.
Valid Government-Issued Photo ID
This is the most important item. We must verify your identity before notarizing any document.
Note: The name on your ID must match the name on the documents being notarized. If your name has changed (marriage, legal name change), bring supporting documentation.
The Documents to Be Notarized
Bring the actual documents that need notarization. There are a few important things to keep in mind.
Additional Witnesses (If Required)
Some documents require one or two witnesses in addition to the notary.
Note: Witnesses must be 18 or older and have valid photo ID. Witnesses generally cannot be named in the document being signed.
For Loan Signings
If you have a loan signing appointment, your signing package will typically be provided by the title company or lender. Here's what to expect.
Note: We receive the loan documents directly from the title company. You do not need to bring the signing package — just your ID and any items your lender specifically requested.
For Power of Attorney
Power of attorney documents have specific requirements depending on the type.
Note: We cannot provide legal advice on which type of power of attorney is right for your situation. Consult an attorney if you have questions about the document itself.
